Circuit géocaching de Jungholtz
DESCRIPTIF DU CIRCUIT
Jungholtz est un petit village niché dans un écrin de verdure au pied du Grand Ballon. Le village dont le nom signifie « jeune bois » a été fondé au XIIIème siècle autour du château de Jungholtz, qui fut construit pour protéger le Monastère de Thierenbach. Une importante communauté juive résidait à Jungholtz aux XVIIème et XVIIIème siècle. Après le passage de bombes lors de la Première Guerre Mondiale, le village fut reconstruit en 1920.
