The label "Tourism and Handicap"
This label provides the guarantee of an efficient act of welcoming, which is adapted to the needs required of people with disabilities.
It is also a way to educate tourism professionals to home for disabled people.
The logo, affixed at the entrance to sites, facilities and tourist facilities on all documents gives reliable, consistent and objective accessibility information to people with disabilities.
There is an icon for each of the four disabilities (mobility, visual, hearing and learning)
Alsace is making efforts to ensure that persons with disabilities may be able to choose their holidays, to cultivate one self, to have fun, to go out alone, with family or with friends.
Alsace is the fourth French region in number of tourist sites which have the label "Tourism and Disability". Over 200 sites have already obtained this label in the region. It is as much accommodation, tourist information centers, recreation centers, museums or restaurants.
